
The Hamilton County Department of Education has established a dual enrollment program with Chattanooga State Technical Community College. The program allows high school students to earn college credit during the regular school year or during the summer.
Students must meet both of the following requirements to be approved for dual enrollment.
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
An ACT test score of 19 or higher.
The ACT or SAT test must be taken on or before the June test date.
*Costs are based on the prevailing per-semester hour fee at CSTCC, plus the usual application fee.

This course is conducted under the standards of Chattanooga State and includes Term I-Composition I and Composition II; Term II-two literature survey courses. College bound students are encouraged to take advantage of this college credit study opportunity. Tuition charges and books are purchased through Chattanooga State.
Students who complete this course will receive two terms of high school credit as well as 12 college credit hours of English. See senior guidance counselor for more information. Both terms are required to meet Academic Honors Curriculum.
