They have been working very hard for you to have a good time.  Showing appreciation to others is one of many qualities that set Ooltewah Owls above the rest, and we take tremendous pride in that so please let your teachers know you appreciate them during Owl Camp.

As the first day of school quickly approaches, relax take a couple of deep breaths.  We know that coming to high school can be a bit intimidating and create some anxiety, but DON’T WORRY!  We understand all that you are feeling.   Our goal the first couple of weeks is to make your transition to high school personable and as smooth as possible.

On Friday, August 1st, 2008 from 10:00 am – noon in the school’s cafeteria schedule changes will only be made for the following reasons on Friday, August 1st, 2008 from 10:00 am – noon in the school’s cafeteria.

  • If you are scheduled for a course you have already passed.
  • If you are scheduled for a course you are taking on line.

Unfortunately, NO schedule changes can be done to accommodate electives at this time.  Don’t be alarmed!  You will be provided other opportunities while at OHS to take a specific elective.  Thank you for your cooperation concerning scheduling.

The Freshmen Academy includes every first-time ninth grader in our building. The academy teachers are teamed up in what is called the N.E.S.T. This acronym stands for the Ninth-grade Empowerment Support Team. This means that we divide up the entire Freshmen Academy into groups that we keep track of as a team throughout the year. This gives each student a personalized educational experience.
