The PTSA is looking for volunteers for the McKenzie Arena Concession Stand. It’s Ringling Brothers Circus time and there are many shows to staff. See Chris Brown today to sign up! Keep your high school memories for a lifetime. There’s still time to order a 2010 yearbook. There won’t be extras ordered, so see Ms. Sachsman ASAP! Prom Committee meets today after school in Ms. Rosenvinge’s room.
Seniors & Senior Highlights Senior Class of 2010 t-shirts are on sale now for $8.00. Seniors may order a t-shirt in Mrs. Rushworth’s room 238. Teachers – Seniors should show you the check/money for the shirt before dismissing them during extended time to Mrs. Rushworth’s room to order a t-shirt. No late orders. If you want a Hixson High School Class of 2010 t-shirt you must order this week! Because of a late bus yesterday seniors will re-vote for Class Representative for the Class of 2010 during Advisory today. Seniors in Mr. Kavur’s 3rd block class will receive their ballots in his room. All seniors who have not submitted a quote need to do so by the end of the week. Quotes can be turned in to Mrs. Sachsman or the yearbook staff.
Guidance River City Workshops (Dianne Bruce) is holding the following ACT prep classes for the spring. For students looking to raise their ACT score and have the funds, these classes really do work. 3/21 12pm-6pm $175 @ The Baylor School 3/28 1pm-6pm $125 @ St. Jude School The Chattanooga Lookouts will host their 3rd Annual Job Fair on Saturday, March 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at AT&T Field. Part-time, seasonal positions offered will be in the concessions, ticketing, and gift shop.
College Acesss
Clubs “March your 5 Cans in” to earn a dress down day in April. FCCLA is challenging all clubs and students to help support our hungry community. Bring your canned foods in to your club or Room 141. Which club will have the most cans turned in for tomorrow’s first report? Final deadline is March 29th.
Athletics The football scrimmage at East Ridge on Friday will be at 4:30pm. All boys and girls track members will have a mandatory team meeting Friday at 2:30 in the weightroom before practice. You must be at this meeting and practice to participate in the meet on Monday. The football and track teams are selling chick-fil-a cards through this Friday. Purchase one today and support our teams. All football and track athletes must bring all card money to turn in Friday after school. Sell those cards!
