Kindergarten, and First Grade students participate in a program called Writing to Read2000.  The purpose of Writing to Read 2000 is to enable children to write and read by using their own natural language.  Computer software introduces the alphabetic principle, or the idea that the words of our language can be constructed with sounds, or phonemes, which are represented by letters or combinations of letters.  The Writing to Read 200 environment incorporates a multisensory approach to learning writing and reading through six learning centers:

When using Writing to Read 2000, children are able to practice writing and reading through developmentally appropriate activities. The program also promotes the development of thinking skills in settings and contexts familiar to children.  

Second - Fifth Grade students participate in two programs:

1. Study Island - Our school has access to a great resource for preparing our kids for the stat standardized tests. If you have Internet access, your child can access Study Island from home as well as school to prepare for the state assessments.  

2. Growing With Technology - It introduces elementary-aged children to the basics of computers and computer applications.  The texts are organized into eight chapters that cover:
